🕙 1. My May 9, 2026 Visit — Real Wait Times at 3 Branches
This section is based entirely on my personal experience visiting three branches in a single day. No estimates — just what actually happened.
The Main Store queue was long. Three dedicated queue management staff were controlling the line. I asked: "About 1 hour and 10 minutes," was the answer. My Sungsim Buddy app predicted ~1 hour — a very close match. (Staff typically quote slightly longer times, which is consistent with the app predicting a few minutes shorter.)
I confirmed the app's community reporting feature was working correctly on-site — it accepted my wait time report, then blocked a second submission for 5 minutes as designed to prevent spam. After verification, I made the practical decision to skip the Main Store queue and instead walked to the adjacent 샌드위치 정거장 (Sandwich Jeonggeojang), where we bought sandwiches and ate comfortably in the parking lot.
I tested GPS detection here. Inside the underground parking level, the signal was weak and the app struggled to confirm location. On the ground floor, it worked fine. This is a known limitation I plan to address in a future update.
One important note: Choco Tuiso (초코튀소) was already sold out by noon. If that's on your list, arrive before 11 AM — or head to 튀소정거장 at DCC.

🔥 3. The #1 Secret Nobody Tells You: DCC's Dedicated Fried Soboro Station
This is exclusive information from my personal May 9, 2026 visit — you won't find this in most travel guides.
When we arrived at the DCC branch on May 9, there was a moderate queue inside the main store. But here's what most visitors miss: directly across the street from the DCC branch, there is a completely separate, dedicated store that sells only Fried Soboro (튀김소보로).
Its name is 튀소정거장 (Tuiso Jeonggeojang), which roughly translates to "Fried Soboro Station." Korea's first dedicated Fried Soboro store, it opened in September 2024. When we walked over at 2:10 PM, there was no line at all. We bought Fried Soboro within 2 minutes.

⏰ 5. Timing Strategy: When to Go (and When to Stay Away)
- Weekends & public holidays: 1–2 hour waits at Main Store guaranteed
- Lunch rush (11:00–13:00): Peak local foot traffic
- After-work rush (17:00–19:00): Office workers + tourists = worst combination
- Weekend afternoons (16:00–18:00): Consistently the most crowded window of the week
- Weekdays 14:00–16:00: Post-lunch lull, inventory freshly restocked — the sweet spot
- Weekday mornings (08:00–09:30): Before local crowds build up; especially good for the Daejeon Station branch
- Any time + DCC branch: Use Tuiso Jeonggeojang across the street — timing matters much less here
